WoW Tunnels with Proxycap Setup Guide

  • Proxycap's function is to direct WoW to use the "tunnel" created by Putty using the WoW Tunnels client.
  • Proxycap is much more stable, especially on 64-bit Windows.

Guide

  1. First, follow the regular setup guide. However, in the settings, tick the option "Do not use Freecap". Make sure you click save at the end.

  2. Download Proxycap from the Proxycap download page. The first two downloads on the page is what you're after, not the service edition. Choose either 32-bit or 64-bit depending on your Windows version.
  3. Follow the video below to setup and configure Proxycap. After watching, refer to the next step. UPDATE for 3.3.3, instead of entering port range of 3724 - 3724, simply leave it as not restricted.

  4. After Proxycap is configured, make sure it is running by checking the system tray on the task bar. Then you can launch WoW using the WoW Tunnels client. Proxycap must be running when WoW starts.
