  • Q: What are the two programs I have to download, are they safe?
    A: WoW Tunnels provides a zip file for your own ease of two freeware programs, Putty and Freecap. These two programs are to create a proxy connection between your computer and the WoW Tunnels servers, nothing more. All data is transmitted securely through a "Secure Shell" connection. Please note WoW Tunnels is not the author of these programs. You can find out more about these programs here and here.
  • Q: How is this possible, it looks too good to be true? Whats the catch?
    A: There is no catch, really! Your ping is lowered through a process called "SSH Tunneling". You can try searching on google for "SSH Tunnel" or visit this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunneling_protocol.
  • Q: Does this work for everyone?
    A    : Unfortunately, there are cases when WoW Tunnels won't help you lower your ping, especially if your connection is very poor and the connection to the WoW Tunnels server itself becomes laggy. We suggest users to trial before paying.
  • Q: Will I get banned for using this? Is this against the World of Warcraft ToS?
    A: No one has ever been banned for using WoW Tunnels at this time of writing. Currently there are no specific rules on playing World of Warcraft through a proxy server, however this can change. Ultimately we can't hold responsibility for your own accounts. Using this service is at your own risk.
  • Q: Can I log into the same account from two different locations?
    A: Since sharing accounts is prohibited, logging into the same account from two different locations will cause both parties to be disconnected. It is very important you do not give out your details to anyone.
  • Q: Can Mac users make use of the WoW Tunnels service?
    A: Mac users are not officially supported currently, but you can search for "WoW2Go", which is a Mac client for tunneling WoW. It should work with WoW tunnels.
